Looks like this will be my project and my home for the next year at least. Needs quite a bit of work, but was a bargain (I hope). Looking forward to getting started. Will be pulling carpet up, taking curtains and blinds down, kitchen out and doing a spot of gardening. Very exciting and a bit scary.
On the plus side it last lovely high ceilings, wooden floors under the carpet, a boarded up fireplace and is on a big block (chickens and a dog maybe?).

This weekend I made some cushion covers for mum and dad's sofa. I bought the fabric and loved the colours against the sofa cover. Hopefully mum and dad will like them when they return.
I also made brownies for an afternoon tea we are having at work on Tuesday. Unfortunately I have eaten some of them so have just baked a second lot. It was so nice to spend some time at home by myself listening to music, sewing, drawing and taking photos.
Today I learnt that an offer on a house in Yass I made has been accepted - scary.

Next on my list? Coco avant Chanel starring the gorgeous Audrey Tautou. I have to add the cinema experience at Dendy to my list of things I like about Canberra. 15 minute drive from home (no traffic), park nearby, a coffee or wine to drink in the theatre and no crowds! Borders and Eckersleys for browsing nearby, perfect outing for a wet, cold Sunday.

This has been my first weekend in the last month that I've not been going away or having visitors. So slept in (as much as bad cat allowed), had a walk, tidied, cleaned (much needed) and organised my fabric stash and other craft and sewing stuff. Alas didn't actually get any making done but now that I know what I have and where it is, maybe tomorrow - after the movies??
I really want Lei Lin Chin's spectacles! Anyway off to eat dinner and finish my gin and tonic.
